Sword Art Online Season 1 Episode 1 Review

Sword Art Online is anime video that is based on a new gaming device called NerveGear. The main character, Kirito is in a video game called Sword Art Online. This game is very special because it transports your mental self into your mind to play the game. Kirito soon reveals himself to the audience as one of the 1000 beta testers before the official release of the game.

Sword Art Online is defined as a VR MMORPG ( Virtual Reality Mass Multiplier Online Role Playing Game) created by a genius named Kayaba Akihiko. He invented the realistic game station called the NerveGear to play his very life-like game. This NerveGear ables you to control your nerves to reflect the actions of the video game. Your nerves could control the game

The story starts as Kirito chooses his name and character in Sword Art Online. The first person he met was a new player called Klein who needed to be taught how to play the game. After Kirito taught Klein how to play, until there was what seemed like a problem in the game's structure. They could not log out of the game. Then there was a emergency transport for every player that caused them to be transported to the the town square in the Town of Beginnings, which is the first town you spawn in entering the game. Soon there is a mysterious figure in a red cloak. He soon reveals that he is Kayaba Akihiko, the maker of the game.

He soon explains that there is a microwave inside the NerveGear that able to kill your brain. If the safety of the microwaves could fry your brain. The NerveGear also could not be turned off by the power outlet because it has an internal battery so it could power the system. There were incidents that Kayaba explained that there were people who others have attempted to remove the NerveGear and as a result 213 people out of 10,000 have died already. Kayaba also explained that if your die in the game, there is no way to revive yourself, if you were to die in Aincrad, you would die in the real world. Then Kayaba revealed their true identities from their avatar, and Kirito and Klein have now seen themselves in the game. How this happened was that the NerveGear is actually a high density signaling device that can see what your face actually looks like. The height and body shape was calibrated by when they first logged into.

Then the episode ends as Klein and Kirito escape the crowd in the center of the Town Square. Kirito invites Klein to be in a party with him, but Klein declines so he could be in a party with his friends. Then Kirito runs out of the town and starts his journey as the greatest player in Sword Art Online.
